How it works
Plato Limpio is an educational and technological platform to fight food waste in school cafeterias.
It integrates a series of tools and resources that help schools measure waste, raise awareness of the problem, and design reduction plans with concrete actions. All of this is part of a continuous improvement process tailored to each school's needs.
It operates on an annual subscription model that is flexible depending on the size and needs of each school, allowing any school to join easily.
It incorporates technology to accurately estimate waste and facilitate effective decision-making with clear, visual data. Most importantly, it's a collaborative system, involving the kitchen, dining room, students, educators, and families, sharing ideas, best practices, and generating real change.
It is complemented by consulting services offered to the school or catering company. These services help resolve issues related to processes, menus, and environmental aspects. The solution also includes services to recycle surplus food.
To raise awareness, training workshops will be offered on demand for each school or group of schools, depending on the area.
